iOS 7 Beta Download: Apple’s New Camera Feature “Mogul” For Creating Slow-Motion Films Already In The Works?

The 3rd seed for iOS 7 beta download has been released last Monday, July 8. Moreover, further news suggests that Apple is testing a new feature that will run with the latest operating system.

CNET reported, citing Mark Gurman from 9to5Mac, that Apple is currently working on a new feature for the iOS 7 beta. Accordingly, a developer tipped Gurman about some hidden references that can be found inside iOS 7 beta download, suggestive that a new iPhone camera mode is in the works. "Mogul," the alleged upcoming feature from the iOS 7 beta download, would allow capturing a video at a super-fast and precise rate, with 120 frames per second. However, the resolution for such video recording is still unknown.

Moreover, the iOS 7 beta 3 download was already made available for developers, but according to PC Mag, the overhauling of Apple's mobile operating system is creating a huge deal for app developers. Reportedly, there are lots of third-party apps, such as the popular game, Bejeweled Blitz from PopCap that is crashing on the iOS 7 beta. App developers may need to consider the new keyboard, as well as the fonts and the background styles for their applications to fit and work properly on the iOS 7 beta download.

If Apple is actually doing this improved camera in iOS 7 beta, then this feature will let the users to create slow-motion films. However, this kind of capability already exists in rival phones like Samsung Galaxy S4, as well as some sports camera. With the development of Mogul for iOS 7 beta, this just shows that the competition among smart phone camera is getting even stiffer.

However, the CNET report also noted the big question: would the new camera feature be ready for the debut of the final version of iOS 7 this fall?

Apple has not made any official statement yet regarding the specific date for the launching of the final version of the operating system. However, the consistent 2-week cycle release of the iOS 7 beta download seems to be a good sign that they are keeping track of the schedule.
