Fans have been speculating that “Fifty Shades of Grey” will star Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, Alex Pettyfer and Alexander Skarsgard, but many hot celebrities have been in the running before dark-horse Christian Grey came onto the radar.

Fans should be happy to know that EL James kept the creative rights to her film adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” which means that the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie will be on the right track to keep her fans satisfied. James is a “The Vampire Diaries” fan, so she has been watching Ian Somerhalder. Allegedly, Henry Cavill also met with “Fifty Shades of Grey” producers, but said it was on “different film business” basis. There have been no reports about talks between James and Matt Bomer.'

The producers of “Fifty Shades of Grey” hired English screenwriter Kelly Marcel and Sam Taylor Johnson as director for the film. The movie will have an NC-17 rating for sexual content, so the leads willhave to have some very special chemistry.
