Taylor Swift Fan Arrested At Pittsburgh Concert For Death Threats, Wrote Facebook Message Saying ‘22’ Singer ‘Must Perish And Die’

A Taylor Swift fan was arrested at a Pittsburgh concert over the weekend, when he made death threats on his Facebook page and at the concert.

Joseph Jackson, 28, made death threats to Swift, 23, on Facebook before the pop star's concert, local news station KDKA reported.

Before the concert, he wrote on his page: "Taylor Swift must perish and die."

Swift's security team alerted authorities when they saw Jackson's message. According to E! News, he was approached by law enforcement at the Pittsburgh concert, when he was carrying two signs. One sign said "Taylor Swift is with Satan" and another read "I luv you."

Jackson quickly became agitated, and he was handcuffed and taken to Allegheny County Jail on trespassing and resisting arrest charges.

When accosted by authorities on Saturday, Jackson told them, "Taylor Swift is Satan and that 6,000 years is six days and death comes on the sixth day, so Taylor Swift is in danger," according to the police report, The New York Daily News reports.

Jackson wasn't carrying any weapons. He will face a mental evaluation before any hearing will take place.

Taylor Swift's camp surprisingly refunded Jackson's concert ticket after he missed the show.

Sources told CBS Pittsburgh that Swift's security team is very pro-active about any sort of threat against Taylor, CBS News reports.

Swift will continue on the U.S. leg of her tour, and the next stop is on July 13 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. After wrapping up on September 21 in Nashville, Tennessee, she'll jet off across the Pacific for shows in Australia and New Zealand.
