Palmetto Tornado [VIDEO]: Resident Captured Twister Before Touchdown [PHOTO];12 Mobile Homes In Tropic Isles RV Park Damaged, Clean Up On-going

At least 12 mobile houses were damaged by the Palmetto tornado that struck the RV park community in Tropic Isles, around 6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 9.

UPI reported that during the Palmetto tornado touch down, there were "at least 12 mobile homes in the 55-plus community near 10th Street West and 28th Avenue West" that got compromised. The battalion chief for the North River Fire Department, Michael Williamson, said, that the destructions made range from "minor to catastrophic damages."

Bradenton Herald reported that five mobile homes got serious damages from the Palmetto tornado. John and Nancy Kadlick were watching the TV when the Palmetto tornado tore most of the roof their house.

Nancy Kadlick shared, "What I had sitting out was flying across the room. John was sitting there looking at the sky. I told him to get down on the floor."

Furthermore, the ABC News also showed a picture (posted below) of the twister seconds before it touched down. Kathleen Lee, a resident in Tropic Isles RV Park mobile community was able to took the shot before the Palmetto tornado landed on the area.

The residents affected by Palmetto tornado are now in the process of dealing with the aftermath, cleaning up the ruins and salvaging what could still be saved from what happened on Tuesday night.

The Kadlicks, through the help of their neighbors, packed up the things that are still salvageable after the Palmetto tornado ruined thier house. They then moved to a new home, which is just two houses west of their damaged residence in Tropic Isles RV Park.

Nancy, while sitting in the only room in her damaged house that is still covered by a roof, shared, "We gotta actually move what we can move and then it's going to be torn down."
