K-Pop Dominates Thai Music Charts

K-Pop has taken over Thailand with their music as the genre dominates the country's Top 50 songs of 2011. As seen on Thailand's Channel V, their "2011 Asian Music Top 50" resulted in most of the songs dominated by Korean artists.

Artists like BEAST, TVXQ, Super Junior, and even SNSD has ruled the charts. The top 10 consisted of mostly male groups in K-Pop. In first place was BEAST's "Beautiful," followed by JYJ's "Ayy Girl" and TVXQ's Keep Your Head Down" taking second and third place respectively. The rest of the top 10 had Kim Hyun Joong, Super Junior, 2PM, GD&TOP, and CN BLUE.

Even the girl groups had their share, with SNSD having four songs in the top 24. T-ara's "Bo Peep Bo Peep" took on 21st place while 2NE1's "Ugly" got 25th.

The group who had the most songs on the chart was the Big Bang themselves. Their songs like "Tonight", "Love Song", Baby Good Night", and "Knock Out" took on the slots from the Top 20 to the last 50.

It just goes to show that K-Pop can certainly dominate almost any country besides their own.
