Paula Deen 'Called Me A N- -' [VIDEO REPORT] Ex Cook Says 'She Was A Racist' And 'Paid Me Minimum Wage' As Food Network Considers Her Return

Paula Deen Longtime employee and cokk Dora Charles, is throwing Deen under the bus. Charles said she did not get what she financially deserved form Paula and that the ex Food Network star is indeed a racist.

Charle's confession comes at the worst time for Paula Deen. The Food Network is seriously considering Deen to come back to their network. But with the news that Paula could be a cheap racist, the Food Network has more to look over about Deen.

The Food Network, which made Deen a star with "Paula's Home Cooking" in 2002 and later "Paula's Home Cooking" in 2008, fired Deen after her racial slurs.

Charles said that Deen had used racial slurs and asked her to do things she found demeaning, like ringing a dinner bell in front of the restaurant. "I said, 'I'm not ringing no bell,' " she told the Times. "That's a symbol to me of what we used to do back in the day."

Despite Deen calling them "soul sisters," Charles, 59, says Deen, 66, didn't properly reward her for her hard work.

"She said, 'Stick with me.' One day if I get rich, you get rich.' " But it "just passed me by."

Charles says she was making $6.50 an hour as the cook at Deen's Lady & Sons restaurant in Savannah when the celeb chef started her Food Network show, and her paycheck never increased despite the success of Deen.

"I told her at times I didn't have enough money to buy my own medication." She adds that Deen threw a $100 bill at her.

When asked if she thinks Deen is racist, Charles, who is black, pauses and says, "I do. I do."

And if Charles had ever heard Deen use the n-word, the cook says, "I've heard her use the n-word. She says, I'll tell ya'll n--s. That's what's wrong with y'all n--s today."

Do you think Paula Deen is a racist or is this ex employee just trying to get financial retribution?
