Randy Orton attacked by fan in a strange video that was recorded by a patron in attendance near ringside while the WWE was touring South Africa on Tuesday night.

The video showed Orton celebrating after a victory by doing his normal routine of standing on the top ropes doing his pose. When Randy Orton did this, a fan decided to attack him. The fan must have slipped through security and was able to get in the ring and actually have a moment to soak it in.

This fan mimicked Randy Orton with his movements in the ring until he decided to approach the "Appex Predator" and attack him with a low-blow. He uppercutted his private parts, which forced Orton to drop from the ring.

It is unclear whether Orton was playing along maybe thinking it was his opponent from the match that was going for some revenge after a loss. When the "Viper" realized what happened, he went right after the fan who attacked him. Security swarmed and took the person into custody. Orton wouldn't let him get away scott-free because he delivered a kick to the fan's head for good measure.

Coming after this fan was the real opponent of the multiple time WWE and World Heavyweight champion, Big E Langston. He was able to be held back by WWE officials.

"Randy was violently attacked from behind" by the fan -- who was not part of the show and is now in police custody, a WWE rep told TMZ.

This video isn't the first strange interaction with members of the WWE Universe. Orton has had popcorn thrown at him, he has taunted children by cocking back his fist like he was going to knock the kid out and even randomly asked fans for cigarettes.
