Minecraft Xbox 360 Update: Release Date Forgotten? Mash-Up Pack Reigns As 4J Studios Enters Final Testing Phase

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is at present implementing its final testing phase, TechThirsty reports, but a release date has not been announced amidst growing buzz over the trial version of the game's mash-up pack.

4J Studios has released its mash-up pack release and the TU12 patch also increases the height of the building limit to 256 blocks while adding various other elements, Examiner reports.

In addition to a themed world, the mash-ups also contain skin and texture packs as well as music scores and user interfaces, Examiner also reports.

The Skin Pack 5's release also allows fans to change their in-game avatar's appearance characters from several Ubisoft series including "Assassin's Creed," "Rayman," "Splinter Cell" and "Far Cry 3."

Minecraft Xbox 360 crossed over with Telltale's excellent The Walking Dead game this week as the latest skin pack was released, according to NowGamer, but some fans are wondering if 4J Studios is stalling its release date.

Several fans were upset the developer announced the release date for the Skin Pack 5 DLC before an official date of the TU12 patch for "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition," Examiner reports.

Some of them expressed their displeasure on the comments section of the Play XBLA website on July 27, claiming that the company is prioritizing releasing downloadable content expansions over updating the console port of "Minecraft," Examiner also reports.
