"I was joking. We be so busy making these big hits, I wanted to come with a dope plan to present the next smash record."

His attempt to promote a song on the upcoming album "Suffering from Success" worked as far as getting media attention and attention from fans everywhere. In case you wanted to know what happened to that $500,000 diamond ring, Khaled did talk about it.

"What's the saying? 'Women's best friends is diamonds?' I'm just gonna add that diamond to one of my pinky rings or one of my necklaces, you know what I'm saying? You know, I love diamonds too,"he said in the interview.

Khaled is getting ready for his seventh album to drop on Sept. 24. He tried to continue the story after the video aired and said he was serious about his marriage proposal.

"I was shocked just like the rest of the world and I was cracking up laughing with the rest of the world 'cause Khaled is a master at what he does," Minaj said Monday on Funkmaster Flex's radio program on Hot 97 in NYC.

She also added that she thought it was a publicity stunt to promote his new album.

"If you have to take your time and think about it, I overstand. But I know I have to be here today to let you know how serious I am and how serious this is to me. I want to let your fans know, my fans know, my family, your family, that I want to marry you," Khaled said on MTV News at the time.
