After a congressional delegates trip to Cuba's Guantanamo Bay detention center, a U.S congressman left with the revelation that the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy isn't just a novelty to the outside world, as the kinky reading is on demand amongst the prison's "high-value" inmates.

Virginia Representative Jim Moran was a delegate of the group who came upon this discovery when visiting Guantanamo's Camp 7 that holds over a dozen of "high value" detainees, including the five criminals facing charges for planning the September 11 attacks on New York's World Trade Center in 2001.

Allegedly these prisoners, according to Moran, have a desire to consume their remaining days in confinement indulged in the dominating/submissive relationship of author E.L. James' fictional characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. In fact, the extremely dangerous convicts prefer the erotic literature more than the scripture readings.

"Rather than the Koran, the book that is requested most by the (Camp 7 captives) is 'Fifty Shades of Grey.' They've read the entire series," Moran said, reported The Huffington Post and later verified by Reuters who directly contacted the Republican congressman's representative.

Moran figures that these men are going to spend the rest of their lives only interacting with their fellow inmates. Thus, having a mental sexual escape with the explicit piece of literature couldn't hurt.

"I guess there's not much going on, these guys are going nowhere, so what the hell," suggested Moran.

Although the trilogy was blamed for promoting violence toward women when it first appeared on the Barnes & Noble bookshelves, it some how passed the detention center's screening.

In the past, Guantanamo librarians have been known to examine the content of reading material for sexual nature. They have gone as far as blocking images of overly alluring women in advertisement ads of sports magazines. However, 50 Shades got a pass despite Grey and Steele's love affair that consist of ropes, whips, and handcuffs.

In conclusion, it can be assumed that the inhabitants of Guantanamo Bay's infamous Camp 7 really do like it rough.
