Kid Rock wasn't home when a burglar attempted to come in and rob him...but that may have been a good thing.

A burglar on crutches used a van to smash in the gate at Kid Rock's Detroit-area property. He was later arrested based on two tips-which may be a better fate than what it would have been if the Kid was home.

Kid Rock posted online,

"Thank God I was not on the property at the time of this attempted break in," read the post. "I am an avid hunter and marksman and I will not hesitate to shoot anyone who has myself or family in fear for our lives.

"I take the invasion of my personal space very seriously regardless of who you are."

That's quite a warning. Reminder to all: stay away from Kid Rock. He'll shoot you.

Police impounded the 1994 Ford Club Wagon that was used to ram the gate.

Kid Rock also posted,

'I take the invasion of my personal space very seriously regardless of who you are and YES, I do profile people.'

Before the man was arrested, he posted, "I am currently profiling any balding white male on crutches driving a white creeper van."

He also offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Kid Rock's Clarkston, Michigan gate was rammed in, and the man tried to break into the house after gaining access. Security cameras show the burglar on crutches failing to rob Kid Rock...which might have been the best thing for him.

The man, 43, was arrested at his Independence Township home in suburban Detroit. He is currently being held in county jail, according to Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe.
