As the boys of One Direction continued their world tour in San Jose, California, the fans showed love by throwing tampons their way.
Although the tampons were clean, 1D member Zayn Malik looked pretty surprised and disturbed when he discovered what was flown their way. As a 20-year-old guy, his reaction was to be expected.
Despite the sanitary product throwing, Harry Styles seemed quite pleased how the concert turned out in San Jose.
"First time performing 'Best Song Ever' tonight," tweeted Styles. "Was a lot of fun. Thanks for having us San Jose. You were amazing."

Naill Horan also expressed how much of a good time he had with the Californians. "San Jose sick crowd! First time we ever did 'best song ever' tonight! What a reaction! Loved rockin out with the guitar on that!"

In honor of them performing at the San Jose Sharks arena, the boy band wore the ice hockey jerseys in honor of the team.
Despite Zayn's reaction of shock, this isn't the first time the group has been struck with feminine hygiene products.
In an interview last year, when discussing the Nottingham concert, Harry confessed he was hit in the face with a tampon.
