'Blurred Lines' Robin Thicke Covers Icona Pop 'I Love It' And It Makes The Girls Wanna Go Unrated [Video]: 'Wanted To Go Into The Bedroom And Make Love'
In a video interview with Icona Pop, the Swedish duo admitted to feeling unrated when they heard "Blurred Lines" Robin Thicke do a silky smooth cover of their debut hit "I Love It."
Before make their stage premiere at Lollapalooza, Icona Pop met up with MTV News to express how much they liked Thicke's version of their summer smash that he performed during an appearance at BBC Radio 1's Lounge.
In an sit down with MTV, Paul Patton husband said he could really relate to the lyrics of "I Love It" despite it being a break up anthem.
"The funny thing is, I heard the song a week earlier, before the Icona Pop cover. And they ask you when you do this show ... to do a song that's within the Top 40 at the moment. And I thought, 'What about that song?' 'Cause I thought the lyrics were very fitting to my relationship. 'Crash my car into a bridge,' it's a metaphor. I've been there many times in my relationship so I felt like burning clothes and throwing things down stairs, crashing into a bridge — that's all me, very me — and still loving it," explained Robin Thicke.

Although he found similarities with the "I Love It" lyrics, Thicke made the song into his own by switching up the words.
The change in words didn't seem to matter to Aino Jawo, one member of the girl duo who said "We love it."
"It's so nice to hear different versions of your songs and his version was so sexy and it was like you wanted to go into a bedroom and make love," Jawo said. "Which is like a totally new [feeling] ... otherwise it's like you want to punch someone. We love it!"
