Glee Season 5 To Air Three Consecutive Episodes Before Hiatus: Potentially Seven More To Follow After Cory Monteith Tribute

As "Glee" returns to filming for season 5 after losing Cory Monteith, reports have confirmed that the three episodes before the hiatus will air consecutively, with as many as seven more episode to follow after Fox's baseball coverage.

TVLine confirms that "Glee" will start season 5 with two Beatles tribute episodes before a tribute episode for Cory Monteith.

"Yes, Fox boss Kevin Reilly today confirmed for me/you that 'Glee' will open its season with three consecutive episodes, break for postseason baseball coverage, and then immediately return thereafter with as many as seven straight episodes," writes TVLine contributor Matt Mitovich.

"Glee" season 5 is set to return September 26, which means the hiatus will begin October 10 until the foreseeable future.

Currently, the cast of "Glee" are filming for season 5, with several departures to take place over the course of the season.

In addition, rumors are swirling that Finn will be written out of "Glee" season 5 using a drug addiction storyline.

Drug-related PSAs will be shown during the episode reportedly featuring Ryan Murphy and members of the cast.

"Cory was a big, open wonderful life force," says Fox president Kevin Reilly. "He was not a problem. Everybody loved him."
