Install Official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update To Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0; Firmware for LTE Model N5120 Available Over The Air (OTA)

Samsung just released the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Note 8.0.

Good news for the owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 - you can now install official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update. If you have not received the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update via OTA, you can check system updates and see if your region is supported with the update. UK owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 were the first ones to get the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for their devices.

The post from Android Geeks suggested that if you have not received the OTA notification yet for Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, you can connect your Galaxy Note 8.0 with model number N5120 to a computer. Samsung KIES also work with rooted tablets. However, Galaxy Note 8.0 running custom ROMS will not be able to update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update using Samsung KIES.

Before you perform the installation process, make sure that the device is fully charged to avoid draining the battery, resulting to automatic device shutdown.

The device should be fully charged before performing it. The software brings small improvements to the tablet adding features such as Photo Sphere and Google Now improvements.

The official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update brought enhancements and updates to the software including lock screen widgets, multiple user accounts, quick settings, DayDream screensaver-like tools and a lot more. Improvements for Google Now and Photo Sphere were also rendered.

Manual installation of the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is also possible through the use of ODIN app and the XXCMG7 firmware file for N5120 Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE.

The official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE via OTA is currently available for UK owners but you can expect Samsung to roll out the firmware to other countries and regions soon.
