It's that time of the year again, and Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Britney Spears ready to battle it out with a new album each in 2013.

Katy Perry will be the first to launch her new album campaign with new single "Roar." Set to debut August 12, the single, based on the two preview clips uploaded to her YouTube page, will be a great departure from "Teenage Dream."

The single will showcase her new sound for the upcoming 2013 album, "Prism."

And exactly one week later, Lady Gaga will start the battle with her own single off of her new album 2013, titled "Applause."

On August 19, in addition to "Applause," Lady Gaga will also release a new app alongside her new album, "ARTPOP," which is said to be "a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology."

According to Billboard, pre-orders for the Lady Gaga new album will begin September 1.

But let's not forget Britney Spears, who is reportedly hard at work on her new album for 2013 as well. And according to her Twitter and Instagram, it will arrive "sooner than you think."

Unlike Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, however, Britney Spears does not currently have a single release planned...yet. This is likely due to "Ooh La La" still making the radio waves.
