Usher's son in ICU following an accident in a pool when Usher Raymond V got his hand stuck in the drain, and was unable to free himself without the help of a few others.

The older of the two sons of Usher is currently in an Atlanta ICU, which is an intensive care unit for the trouble he sustained while in the pool around 2 p.m. ET on Monday.

Usher's son is five-years-old and was playing in the pool with his aunt when he saw a toy in the drain, according to a source that told TMZ. He then decided dive down to get the toy and his arm got caught in the drain. His aunt immediately dove in to rescue him, but was unable to get his hand out. The maid dove in after and also failed to free his hand.

The maid screamed for help and two audio-visual contractors happened to be in the home and came to the rescue. They dove in and were able to free Usher's son. One of the two administered CPR and rushed him to the hospital where he is currently in ICU.

The update on his status is that doctors said he will be okay and they just need to run a few more test.

People close with the situation told TMZ that the boy was conscious, alert and breathing on the way to the hospital. They also said that Usher himself rode with him inside the ambulance, though a police report said he met his son there after he had already arrived.

Usher Raymond V is the oldest of two sons with ex-wife Tameka Raymond, who actually lost one of her own children in Kile from a previous relationship a year ago. He died from injuries during a jet ski accident.
