Miley Cyrus promised on Twitter that when she reached 13 million Twitter followers, she would tweet the name of her upcoming album. Yesterday afternoon, Miley kept her promise.

"13 million #BANGERZ." Miley tweeted.

She quickly followed this with another tweet to clarify: "If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ"

As of Wednesday around noon, the announcement of her album title has been re-tweeted almost 20,000 times by fans. Twitter responses have ranged from hysterical excitement from fans to rude comments and disbelief regarding the title, from who Miley would deem "haters."

So what does "Bangerz" mean? Urban Dictionary defines it as "something that radiates unbelievable swell or swag," USA Today reports.

Soon after the 20-year-old pop star's new album title was announced, a nine-second audio clip, titled "Bangerz," of course, was leaked online, and some are saying that it is a Miley Cyrus song featuring Britney Spears, USA Today reports.

We already knew Miley and Britney were friendly with each other after their Twitter talk when Miley's music video "We Can't Stop" was released.

Britney, 31, tweeted on June 20: "Loving your new video for #WeCantStop @MileyCyrus! Maybe you can teach me how to twerk sometime LOL ;) xo."

Miley replied: "@britneyspears we could twerk it out in exchange for u teaching me da moves 2 "slave for you" (I've been practicing for the past 10 years)."

Britney was quick to take up her offer, tweeting her response: "@MileyCyrus That's a deal im going to hold you 2."

Maybe the two pop stars have been working together secretly behind the scenes too!

Miley has hyped up her album for a while now, saying that she has dedicated her heart and soul to her music.

"I never stop working, ever," Miley told Billboard. "I want my record to be the biggest record in the world, and I've given everything to get here, even down to friends and family and relationships - I've just put this music first."
