Sony Xperia i1 Honami Phone Specs And News Leaked: FCC Filing Reveals Release Date In September; 20-Megapixel Camera, Water And Dust Proof?

An FCC filing of the Sony Xperia i1 Honami phone reveals a possible release date and specifications of the product. Leaked photos and documents also suggest a 20-megapixel camera, competitive specs for the Sony phone, and a September release date.

The FCC filing of another Sony flagship phone, Xperia i1 Honami, suggests that the product release date will be by the end of September. Techkiddy reported the FCC filing, according to IB Times.

KnowYourMobile.com, on the other hand, reports that the launching of the phone will come alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at IFA in Berlin on September 4.

The report states that the device will feature a 5-inch full HD, 1080p capacitive multi-touch display. It will run on Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.2GHz. Honami offers 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM, and 3000mAh battery. It also features Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Sony's custom launcher, IB Times notes.

A screenshot of the Xperia i1 Honami leaked online recently, suggesting that the Sony phone will feature a 20-megapixel sensor.

GSMArena leaked the screenshot, according to KnowYourMobile.com, and the picture shows the camera size settings of the device, including a clearly displayed 20-megapixel as an option, as well as an 8-megapixel resolution in two aspect ratios (4:3 and 16:9).

The website also notes that the front-facing camera will be a 2-megapixel camera.

However, Sony has not confirmed the specifications for the Xperia i1 Honami yet.

Many reports claim Honami will also be water and dust proof, which will follow the newest mobile offerings from Sony, the website adds.

The Sony i1 sold in the US should be compatible with LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 7, and 17, according to the FCC filing, AndroidAuthority.com reports. Judging from the spectrum allocation from the documents, the American operators that could carry the i1 are AT&T and maybe T-Mobile, the website notes.
