PS4 Vs. Xbox One Specs: Can Microsoft’s New GPU Compete With Sony? Xbox One Receives 53 MHz Speed Increase

The Xbox One's GPU will receive a bump in clock speed from 800MHz to 853MHz, ITProPortal reports, leaving gamers wondering if Microsoft's next-generation console will match the speed of Sony's Playstation 4.

But while the GPU clock speed upgrade is certainly better than nothing, it only accounts for around a 6 per cent increase, still leaving the PlayStation 4's graphical power far ahead of the Xbox One, ITProPortal also reports.

And Sony may still have the advantage in the battle over next-generation console specs as it announced it would release a hardware bundle that includes the Playstation Vita, its respective handheld gaming device.

The bundle will be released at the end of the year.

An insider source told VideoGamer.com that Sony is "keen to push PlayStation Vita's functionality with its upcoming next-gen platform."

Sony's bundle, featuring the Playstation 4 and the Playstation Vita, would cost the same price as the Xbox One, which could give the Japanese developer an advantage over Microsoft.
