Apple iPhone 5C Pictures, Price Leaked: Release Date Next Month, Available In Red And White Color Plastic Shell, No Fingerprint Scanner; Budget Model Will Launch Alongside 5S?

New pictures of the Apple iPhone 5C were leaked, along with a price, on the Chinese social networking site Weibo. From the photos, it appears the iPhone 5C will be available in red and white, and will not have a fingerprint scanner. The iPhone 5C is believed to have the same release date as the iPhone 5S this fall.

The first high-definition photos of the Apple iPhone 5C revealed that there are minor changes between the iPhone 5C and the current iPhone 5. The pictures show the phone available in red and white plastic shell, Pocket-lint.com reports.

According to t3.com, the most noticeable change to the iPhone 5C is a longer ribbon cable, with small connections, at the top of the case. Also, it appears as though some connection points have been moved to the base of the case, next to the home button. The iPhone 5C is believed to have very similar internal specs to the iPhone 5, including a 4-inch screen and an 8-megapixel camera, KnowYourMobile.com reports.

The iPhone 5C is rumored to be the low-budget iPhone. According to Phone Arena - citing Weibo - the iPhone 5C will cost around 3000 yuan (£230) SIM free, making it much cheaper than the iPhone 5, KnowYourMobile.com reports.

The budget model iPhone 5C is likely to be unveiled by Apple next month alongside iPhone 5S, t3.com reports. The updated iPhone 5S is believed to include boosts in camera technology and processor power, Slashgear.com reports. Both the 5S and 5C are expected to feature iOS 7 right from the box. NEW shows that the camera on the iPhone 5S will have a separate flash component, as opposed to the iPhone 5, which has a camera and flash all-in-one, Slashgear.com reports. It is still rumored that the iPhone 5S will come with a fingerprint scanner, though it appears the 5C will not.
