Nexus 7 2 Release Date News: Asus Confirms UK Launch On August 28; LTE Version To Arrive In Italy Around September

Nexus 7 2 release date in the UK is set for a month after the launch of the latest Google tablet in the US.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, Asus has already confirmed to Pocket-lint that Nexus 7 2 release date in UK is set for August 28. Previous rumors suggested a July to early September timeframe for Nexus 7 2 release date.

Asus stated that the high-resolution new Nexus 7 will be available at some retailers starting midnight of August 27, for those who are eager to stay up and be one of the first UK owners of the next-generation of one of Google's highly successful device.

Gotta Be Mobile further shared, "It will be available, we are told, at the usual array of high street retailers, rather than just specifically on the online Google Play store in the UK."

Moreover, the Asus-confirmed Nexus 7 2 release date also entails that the Google tablet will most likely arrive ahead of the launch of a competitor from Apple, the next-generation of iPad Mini. Also the launch of Nexus 7 2 will happen prior the release of a smartphone/tablet device from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 3, expected to debut at IFA 2013.

Nexus 7 3 will bear a price tag worth £199.99 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only version while the 32GB wifi-only will cost £239.99.

Moreover, Asus Italy may have also spilled out the Nexus 7 2 release date of the LTE version as it suggested that it will land in the country around September.

Nexus 7 2 is the successor of the original Asus-built Nexus 7. It debuted on July 24, together with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean during a Google press event called "Breakfast with Sundar Pichai." Pichai is the current head for Google Chrome and Android products.
