Nexus 5 Release Date: Next-Gen Google Smartphone Arriving 4th Quarter 2013 To Be Manufactured By Motorola

It was confirmed by an insider that Nexus 5 release date will be set Q4 2013.

According to Taylor Wimberly, who was previously connected with Android And Me, Nexus 5 release date will be set for this year, more particularly, within the 4th quarter. Reported by International Business Times, the insider confirmed that "Motorola is currently working on the Nexus 5 release date" through a post on his Google+ account.

The online post about Nexus 5 release date, although not revealing further details about the Nexus 4 is ample enough to keep the Android fans waiting for the upcoming phone. Wimberly's post reads, "Motorola will release a Nexus smartphone in Q4 (that is not the Moto X)."

Wimberly has a proven record when it comes to providing information about upcoming products, more particularly on the recently-released Moto X. He had exclusives on all-things Motorola and reportedly, the statements he was giving were found to be accurate. Because of this, it would be difficult to doubt his claims about Nexus 5 release date

Motorola Mobility that is allegedly will work on Nexus 5 recently became Google's subsidiary after acquiring by the internet giant on 2011. Moto X is the first smartphone designed by Motorola together with Google's participation. Previous reports also suggested that Motorola Mobility is one of the top candidates to manufacture Nexus 5, after LG Electronics decided not to sign up anymore for the LG-built Nexus 4, the predecessor of the forthcoming Nexus 5.

According to rumors, Nexus 5 specs will include 8-core processor, 2.3 GHZ, 3 GB RAM, 13 MP camera, 5-inch Full HD display, support for 4G/LTE connectivity and 3300mAh battery.
