While fans of "Game of Thrones" may be eagerly awaiting season 4, rising star Carice van Houten is taking the time to voice her disgust on Twitter over the recent Russian Neo Nazi gay bashing.

Carice van Houten, who is most famous for playing Melisandre on "Game of Thrones," has joined growing voices against homophobic activities in Russia.

Reportedly, the incident cited by Carice van Houten, refers to young gay victim who was recently kidnapped and tortured by a Neo Nazi militant group.

According to The Gaily Grind, the victim was beaten with a bat, drenched in urine, painted on, cut with a knife, and his anus was torn using a pry bar and filled with insulation foam.

The victim allegedly could not speak the Russian language well, and eventually, died from his injuries.

Since this incident has been reported, Carice van Houten is one of many who have voiced outrage and disappointment, and it appears support for the LGBT movement in Russian has even reached "Game of Thrones."

Hopefully, as more public figures like Carive van Houten stand up against Putin's new laws allowing for such violent hate crimes, awareness will spread.
