Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus made an appearance on the red carpet for the premiere of Liam's new thriller film "Paranoia," Thursday night. Though Liam and Miley shared PDA at the premiere, reports say they acted distant from each other, and Hemsworth's family was anything but welcoming to his fiancé.

Miley and Liam's public appearance followed months of rumors that the couple, who became engaged last summer, are on the way to a break up. According to reports the couple barely paid each other any attention when off the red carpet, Entertainmentwise.com reports.

"Miley and Liam arrived together, and they took photos, but Miley went inside while Liam worked the carpet," an eye-witness told HollywoodLife.com.

"He refused to answer any questions about Miley and seemed annoyed, like he didn't want to be there."

When the pair shared a kiss, the HollywoodLife.com source called it an "awkward" and "weak" peck, and they mostly "just ignored each other."

The source continued: "At the party, they acted like strangers. Even when they were standing right next to each other, they would never touch - hold hands, put their arms around each other, or anything like that -  it was like they didn't even know each other.  Miley was bubbly and seemed to have fun, but Liam was not into it."

Miley and Liam "showed zero intimacy," the source added.

According to the report, even the Aussie's family, who attended the premiere to support the young Hemsworth actor, weren't outwardly friendly to the "We Can't Stop" singer.

"Liam's family was there to support him, but they completely ignored Miley when she was there," the source went on, "They literally had their backs to her."

It's not looking good for the engaged couple.

"If you didn't know who they were, you would assume they didn't know each other. The only time Liam seemed happy was when he was talking to Harrison Ford," the source said, HollywoodLife.com reports.
