Connecticut Plane Crash In East Haven Neighborhood [VIDEO]: Six Feared Dead Including 2 Children And The Pilot, An Ex-Microsoft Executive

A devastating Connecticut plane crash in East Haven neighborhood may have killed 6 people.

Authorities said, as cited by Huffington Post, that the Connecticut plane crash that happened in a working-class neighborhood on Friday, August 8, puting 2 houses on fire.

Robert Gretz, investigator at National Transportation Safety Board said on Friday night shared the unconfirmed casualty reports which included 2-3 people from the plane and another 2-3 people in one of the burnt houses during the Connecticut plane crash.

Describing how the Connecticut plane crash happened, the online publication wrote, "The multi-engine, propeller-driven plane struck the small homes a few blocks from Tweed New Haven Airport as it went in for a landing, lodging its left wing in one house and its right wing in the other."

According to CNN report, citing the statement from Tweed Airport Manager, Lori Hoffman-Soares, "The plane missed its initial approach, which isn't uncommon." NTSB Investigators will also examine if the weather played a role in the Connecticut plane crash, since it was raining during that unfortunate event.

Immediately after the Connecticut plane crash involving a Rockwell International Turbo Commander 690B, the investigating officials said that the pilot and two children in one of the affected houses were missing. Authorities revealed that a mother and her two sons, ages 1 and 13, were at home during the Connecticut plane crash.

Hours after, officials were able to identify only two bodies, an adult and child, located in the basement of one of the houses.

Furthermore, Governor Dannel P. Malloy later said that the plane may be carrying two passengers..

NY Times posted that the pilot involved in the Connecticut plane crash, Bill Henningsgaard, a former Microsoft executive, took off in his small plane, together with his son Maxwell, from Teterbero Airport in New Jersey to make a quick hop to Connecticut, which is supposed to be the last leg for their tour of colleges.

The article reads, "Maxwell was set to graduate in 2014, and they had flown across the country from the Pacific Northwest visiting campuses. Yale was next on the list."

Henningsgaard worked for Microsoft for 14 years serving as the vice president of sales for Australia, New Zealand and Western US.

Furthermore, CNN noted that there has been no "no official confirmation or positive identification" yet that he previous executive from Microsoft, together with his son were on board but "there is no reason to believe that it was not the two of them" as stated by his brother, Blair Henningsgaard.
