Singer and actress IU and actor Lee Hyun Woo are suspected of being in a relationship. But IU's denials are widely being accused as false.

On August 9 a photo was uploaded onto the online community and various social networking sites with the caption, 'IU and Lee Hyun Hoo's late night movie date,' sparking rumors that they are dating.

IU's agency LOEN Entertainment representative said, 'It is true that the two people saw a movie, but they weren't alone together. They were accompanied by a manager who saw the movie with them.' The rep continued, 'IU and Lee Hyun Woo are old friends. Lee Hyun Ho was cast in IU's 'You and I' music video, and the two are close enough that they can watch movies together.'

Lee Hyun Woo's agency KeyEast representative said something along the same lines, 'The relationship rumor has no truth. After they finished work the two decided to go watch a movie with IU's manager. Fans went up to them to take pictures, and the two were aware they were being photographed.'

Both the agencies emphasized that 'IU and Lee Hyun Woo didn't watch the movie by themselves. They were with IU's manager and they watched it altogether.'

However, celebrity entertainment news 'Dispatch' presented the photo as proof and said, 'There was no manager. Only the two people watched the movie.'

This amplified the netizens' suspicions. Their suspicions are not unwarranted because IU had a similar thing happen last year. Last November IU uploaded a picture of her and Super Junior's Eunhyuk. In the photo IU is wearing her pajamas, and Eunhyuk, who came to visit the sick IU, is shirtless.

At the time IU's agency said, 'Eunhyuk went to visit IU at her house because she was sick. The photo was taken on the sofa.' But the fans were still suspicious.

First with the home visit and now the manager accompanying story, the agency's weak claims are causing a controversy. The fans don't want to hear that they are 'really close friends,' they want the truth.  But, what if they are just close friends?  Weigh in about this in the comments below.
