Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update Brings Minor SD Card Issue To Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition; Users Frustrated

The official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition has a minor issue, which frustrates several users of the flagship device.

According to Android Central, those with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition is having problems writing to SD card. The post reads, "Most apps can no longer write anything to the SD card, and instead just give you an error when you try doing it."

This issue found on Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition with installed Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is reportedly caused by group ID issue, and "applications aren't given permission to access the external storage for writing because they aren't in the right group."

The permanent fix for this Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update bug on Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition is yet to be released but Android Central shared a good news that "you can copy files to the external SD card by hand." This is if you are using the ES File Explorer to do so.
