Homeland Season 3 Spoilers: Brody Gets Shot In New Trailer, And Will Peter Quinn Be A Love Interest For Carrie?

As "Homeland" season 3 prepares to premiere September 29, a new trailer revealed a few spoilers regarding what is in store for Carrie, Brody, and more.

The "Homeland" season 3 trailer, beautifully cut against The Cinematic Orchestra's "To Build a Home," showcased a montage with the show's leading stars, and perhaps the most alarming imagery involved Brody.

The first thing "Homeland" fans will notice is the bullet wound he carries throughout the trailer as he attempts to avoid capture. With a buzz cut and desperate for shelter, Brody looks quite reminiscent of how the show found him in season 1, emaciated and frightened.

"Homeland" season 3 may provide quite the departure from previous seasons in that it is unlikely Carrie and Brody will have much contact, given the circumstances. Reportedly, spoilers confirm that Brody will not even make his appearance in season 3 until episode 3.

And unsurprisingly, the entire "Homeland" ordeal seems to have made Carrie even more unstable. The majority of the trailer plays off of the feeling of isolation for both Carrie and Brody.

"It's pretty bleak in the beginning. She's gone off her meds for all sorts of reasons," says Claire Danes according to Buzz Sugar.

"It's an impossible dilemma because she is not great on the meds, and she's even worse off of them, but there's a really great sweet spot in the middle of the those two states that she's always trying to land on."

But one character who is a newly minted series regular in "Homeland" season 3 is Peter Quinn.

It's hard to tell at this point, but is Peter attempting to track down Brody and kill him? He certainly seems to be getting into a lot of gun battle.

With Brody gone, will Carrie and Peter come together, or will it upset "Homeland" fans even more?
