Glee Star Lea Michele Cries At Teen Choice Awards [VIDEO], Seeks Comfort In Ryan Murphy As Season 5 Begins Filming

"Glee" star Lea Michele has made her first public appearance at the Teen Choice Awards, and tears expectedly fell from the songstress as she dedicated her award to Cory Monteith.

"I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you, and tell everyone out there how much all of your love and support has meant to me," began Lea Michele after winning the "TV Comedy Actress" award at the Teen Choice Awards.

"Not that I had any doubt before, but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world."

Over the past week, Lea Michele returned back to "Glee" for season 5 filming, and has since taken to Twitter to update fans on her well-being, the show, as well as its executive producer Ryan Murphy.

"Ultimately, we made no decisions without consulting Lea. [Executive producer] Brad Falchuk and I talked to Lea and really asked her what she wanted to do," says "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy to TVLine.

"We laid out every possible option. And she was very adamant that she thought it was best for the cast and crew to get back together sooner [rather] than later so that mortgages could be paid and people could take care of their families. Cory was so beloved that she felt people really needed to be together in this time. So we sort of followed her lead."

And since the tragedy, it appears Lea Michelle is slowly healing with her "Glee" cast members and the support of the fans.

"I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory, for all you out there that loved and admired Cory as much as I did. I promise that with your love, we're going to get through this together," said Lea Michele before hugging her "Glee" co-stars and taking home the Teen Choice Awards surfboard.
