Miley Cyrus `We Can’t Stop’ Hits Top of the U.K. Charts; First Top Ten in the Area; Reunites With Dad Billy Ray Cyrus (Video)

Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” hit the top of U.K. list. It’s not just the first time Miley Cyrus has had a number one hit in the United Kingdom, it’s the first time she’s hit the top ten in the territory. Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” knocked Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” off the top of the hit list after three weeks.

Miley Cyrus hit Number 11 in the U.K. three times, with the singles “See You Again” in 2008 and “The Climb” and “Party In The U.S.A.” in 2009. Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” debuted in the top spot with first week sales of 128,000.

Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus celebrated together at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. Miley was sitting up front and center at the awards show with her father and her younger sister, Noah. Billy Ray Cyrus played the part of the loving dad, snapping shots of his young country star daughter as she gave her acceptance speech. Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus have been having a frosty times since Billy Ray split with Miley Cyrus’ mom, Tish, back in May. In June Miley Cyrus tweeted and then took down a picture of herself with one of Billy Ray’s costars from “Chicago.” The photo was captioned,
since you won't reply to my texts I'm giving you an hour to tell the truth or I'll tell it for you."

Cyrus was dealing better with her parent’s separation than she had been. But she was still worried about Noah. During her summer radio promo tour she said "I'm more concerned for my sister. She's 13."

But Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus called off the divorce. They issued the statement "We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together. We both went into couples therapy something we haven't done in 22 years of being together, and it's brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways."

Richard and Adam’s “The Impossible Dream” started their second seek at the top of the album charts. The “Britain’s Got Talent” due are on Sony Music CG records. “Now That’s What I Call Music! 85” from Sony Music CG/Virgin EMI/Universal, came on top of the compilation survey for a third week. British Rapper Tinnie Tempah debuted at Number 3 with “Trampoline” which also featured U.S. hip-hop artist 2 Chainz. The song will be part of Tempah’s upcoming sophomore album “Demonstration.” This is the fourth time Tempah has had a top 10 single as a lead artist. Tempah has been featured on five other singles that hit the top 10 single.
