Kristen Stewart Over Robert Pattinson? ‘Twilight’ Actress Enrolls At UCLA To Get English Literature Degree While Acting, Wants 'A Life After Film'

Kristen Stewart has enrolled at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) to study English Literature. Is this a decision made to distract herself from her break up from Robert Pattinson, and to try to start a new life?

Kristen Stewart left school at 13 years old to pursue her acting career, and is most well-known for her role as Bella Swan in the "Twilight" movies.

"Kristen's a Tinseltown actress worth millions but she is already considering a life after film. She never got to complete college and she wants to get a proper education," a source close to the star told The Daily Mirror, The IB Times reports.

"She is a voracious reader and cannot wait to get going on her correspondence course."

The 23-year-old actress is currently shooting "Camp X-Ray" about the Guantanamo Bay military prison. IB Times reports that Kristen intends to juggle education with her acting commitments.

"It won't be easy," the source continued, "and it will mean putting in some fairly strenuous hours. But once she's graduated, Kristen will be able to do almost anything she wants, in or out of Hollywood."

UCLA is said to offer "one of the best English courses around," The Daily Mail reports. The location of the university is also convenient, as it is relatively close to Kristen's Los Feliz home.

Kristen has recently been in the news following rumors that she and Robert Pattinson have been in contact, and the media speculates that the two are trying to reconcile after their public break up. But this decision to return to school makes it seem that the young actress is trying to give a fresh start to her life, and maybe try to forget about her past failed relationship and distract herself from a certain British hunk.

It's a brave move, as Kristen has in the past talked about her struggles with education.

She said in an interview with British GQ magazine: "I was feeling a little self-conscious about the acting thing with my peers, but also my teachers became a problem. They didn't want to do the extra work or put packages together so I could keep up while away. My teachers failed me. Not one, but all of them. I'm always slightly ashamed in a way about what I do.

"I'm slightly embarrassed as I had such serious ambitions when I was younger, I just never imagined that I would ever have a reason not to go to school. But then this happened," Kristen said.

Kristen also said she never really fit in at school.

''I couldn't relate to kids my own age," she said, IB Times reports. "They are mean and don't give you any chance. Once you have done with school, you realize that it is just a smaller version of life. I have felt that I should have been an adult since I was aged about five.''
