Nexus 5 Rumors, Specs: Release Date Price $299? New Rumors Suggest Similar Pricing And Design To LG Nexus 4

The Vice President of LG Europe recently stated that the Nexus 4 was a "great success" and mentioned that "they'd do it again," leaving MyDrivers.com to believe LG and Google will collaborate on the Nexus 5 and make it similar to its predecessor.

That would mean $299 for a smartphone off-contract, a model that's seen significant sales, even with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (one of 2012′s highest-powered SoCs), SlashGear reports.

But a Nexus 5 manufactured by Sony has appeared in pictures and reveals a the same 20.7-megapixel camera rumoured for the Sony Honami with an LED flash and HDR, KnowYourMobile reports.

The images that were released are just a concepts of the new phone.

The Nexus 5 concept, produced by Ben Ling, shows a 4.6-inch full HD triluminous screen overlaid with Gorilla Glass 3 and runs on a quad core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and Android 4.3, KnowYourMobile also reports.

The Nexus 5 will be manufactured by Motorola and will launch in Q4, an inside source said, according to KnowYourMobile.

Taylor Wimberly, a known Motorola tipster, has revealed on Google+ that the company will indeed be making the next Nexus smartphone and it will be coming in Q4, KnowYourMobile also reports.

Several reports earlier this month revealed that an end-of-year release is most likely to occur for the Nexus 5.

"Considering Google's prior release schedule, it appears highly likely that a Nexus smartphone could follow the new Nexus 7 release," the International Business Times reports.

"Google introduced the original Nexus 7 as its first tablet in July 2012, following up with the new Nexus 7 in July 2013; the current Nexus 4 smartphone released in November 2012 alongside the wide-screen Nexus 10 tablet."
