Users previously reported issues about Nexus 7 2 having problems with the GPS but most recently, there are complains about the touchscreen.

It seems that the Nexus 7 2 is off to a bumpy start as several of its users are experiencing issues with the latest tablet from Google. According to Know Your Mobile, citing Google Product Forums, "a number of users are finding their Nxus 7 2 screen is registering double taps on the homescreen."

For instance, a particular user named Jason L shared the issues he encountered with his Nexus 7 2, "I picked up my new N7 on Friday. At first the keyboard seemed okay, though it would occasionally register double presses on the keyboard.  Now it has gotten progressively worse and the keyboard getting very erratic."

Further continuing with problems with his Nexus 7 2, he revealed, "It is frequently registering double taps, and often ghost taps in areas not anywhere near where I'm touching on the keyboard.  It's almost to the point where it is unusable. Is this a hardware issue and should I try and exchange it, or is this a firmware issue that is known and will be fixed?"

Another Nexus 7 2 user expressed the same issue but also sharing additional problems such as multitouch issues such as pinching to zoom in when using applications like Maps. A forum user said, "I've used some touchscreen test apps and "ghost" touches would appear randomly."

Paul from Google recommended that the best solution is to start the Nexus 2 in Safe Mode to test if the problem is caused by any apps. After following the advice, a number of Nexus 7 2 users still said they were having the touchscreen issue, although not as frequent as before.

Alongside touchscreen issues with Nexus 7 2, other users said that the tablet is experiencing trouble with the GPS signal, as it drops out after 10-30 minutes of using it. You can learn more about the GPS issues by visiting this link. 

Google said that they are already looking into the problem, but the internet giant has not revealed any exact date as to when it the software update for Nexus 7 2 will arrive.
