Nexus 5 Release Date Happening This Autumn; LG Working On The Device With Specs Based On Newly-Released LG G2

Nexus 5 release date may be set for autumn.

Reports are now claiming that Nexus 5 release date may occur before fall season of this year ends. Despite earlier rumors suggesting that Motorola is the new manufacturer for the successor of LG-built Nexus 4, a more recent report is claiming that LG G2 is already working on the Android smartphone. Reportedly, LG is now readying for the Nexus 5 release date.

MyDrivers, as cited by International Business Times, shared that LG Electronics is currently preparing the Google Nexus 5 with the specs and features based on the freshly released LG G2.

Reports are also claiming that the Nexus 5 price will be $299 without a contract.

The specs of the LG G2 include quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with 23 GHz and 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update, 13-mp camera, 5.2-inch 1080p HD display and 3000 mAh Li ion battery. Furthermore, LG G2 is wrapped with a 2mm bezel.

Although there are reports claiming that LG is the manufacturer for Nexus 5, Google is not making any confirmation yet about it. Speculations about LG not manufacturing the Nexus 5 intensified when the Vice President of LG Mobile in Europe said, ""The Nexus 4 was a great success despite the production problems for us and Google. However we do not need such a marketing success again."

However, as posted in IB Times, "follow-up reports claimed that the statement was misinterpreted implying that LG is indeed prepping up on the Google Nexus 5 release date."

And rumors suggest that Google Nexus 5 will be equipped with a 5-inch Full HD screen display, 8-core processor with 2.3 GHz and 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 3300 mAh. Nexus 5 is also rumored to have a 4G/LTE connectivity, as well as storage capacities such as 16GB, 32GB and 64 GB.
