Another PlayStation 4 release date has emerged in the very busy world of gaming.

New reports are surfacing online saying that PlayStation 4 release date may be set for October 21. These fresh PlayStation 4 release date rumors came started from a post on NeoGAF.

The Sixth Axis reported that a NeoGAF user posted interesting information about a possible PlayStation 4 release date. Originally posted by Nealand Liquor, the statement reads, "Rumor: Our internal product release schedule from head office dropped yesterday and on Oct 21st an unnamed Sony console will be launched."

The post continues with an FYI saying, "all console revisions like the ps360 slims and Wii Mini were listed as ps360 & wii mini. Previously the wiiu, 3ds and vita were also only listed as Nintendo/Sony Console in the product name column."

The NeoGAF user, who is a mod-verified also added a disclaimer after his post and it reads, "I just work at a very large retailer, managing the electronics sales force and nothing more. I have nothing to do with purchasing, nation wide merchandising or shipping. I am not trying to play this off as I have connections at Sony, or I am some sort of insider. It's that just yesterday we received a product release schedule from our head office and I thought this is OT itt."

He also said that the schedules are only for internal use to allow them to create their in-store merchandising plans. Moreover, he shared, "If the launch date for a product is unknown, it's simply marked TBA. The only time a date is ever included is when we have received confirmation of said date from the product company."

According to NeoGAF, mod-verified are gaffers that is in the position to receive such knowledge, and it has been checked by Bishoptl himself. Ultimately, it means that this PlayStation 4 release date is still a rumor; however, it may have a weight, as it does have a verified and legitimate source.

Furthermore, if this PlayStation 4 release date rumor is true, then, it would mean that it will arrive weeks before Xbox One release date. This possible PlayStation 4 release date can give Sony two to three weeks of market advantage over rival console, the Xbox One from Microsoft.
