Singer Hong Jin Young was chosen to be a member of HSgR.

She was chosen on the QTV Entertainment show "Shin Dong Yup and the Women Who Rank" which aired on August 15 as the number 1 rank on the list "The One Woman that HSgR Would Love To Have As Its Only Female Member" by none other than HSrG themselves.

Other panel members of the show called for Hong Jin Young's loss when it came down to two finalists, the other being former After School member and current actress Yoo So Young. The other members argued that Yoo So Young was too cute and pretty for Hong Jin Young to take the number 1 spot. She shouted with surprise when she won.

Hong Jin Young ran over to where HSgR was seated and naturally posed with them as though she was an original member, adding that "the lack of a main vocal was probably the reason they wanted me."

But HSgR member Moon Hee Joon explained, tongue-in-cheek, that "the main reason is that Hong Jin Young performs at many different events that will now become HSgR's venues, not to mention the advertising effect for HSgR through those venues." Hong Jin Young jokingly responded that HSrG "picked me as the 1st choice to make fun of me" and "they basically want to ride on my success," which drew laughter from the audience.

The show featured the old guard Idol project group HSgR that was reunited through QTV's "20th Century Pretty Boys" adding Hong Jin Young as their member as well as revealing past secret relationships with idols, and past music video cameos by the panel members. It ranked first place in viewership in all cable programs in the same time slot. This episode is set to re-run on the following nights for those who missed it.

"Women Who Rank" is a show where a particular topic is debated by a panel of women who compare their own list of ranks to each other and guess what the people's choices are. Many different guests also appear and discuss topics and issues with the panel members consisting of Kwon Min Joong, Hwang In Young, Kim Ji Min, Hong Jin Young, Yoo So Young, NS Yoon-G, and Kim Jung Min.
