Crayon Pop’s Agency Representative Calls the Public ‘Pigs’ on Twitter

Crayon Pop's agency, Chrome Entertainment, has requested an investigation into the impersonation of Hwang Hyun Chang, a former employee, on a social networking site. According to the agency, they have corresponded with the police for this investigation, and plan to pursue the matter aggressively.

On August 20 a post was uploaded onto Hwang's existing Twitter account, with the words, "Ignore the pig-like public's babble." It caught the attention of many people, even more so because of the controversy currently surrounding Crayon Pop.

One netizen commented, "It's just another Ilbe story. They refer to the public as pigs, then want to make music for the public?" to which someone else replied, "They didn't call the public pigs, they referred to them as being like pigs."

But representative Hwang, who allegedly made that Twitter post, was revealed to have already resigned from his position. According to Chrome Entertainment, a netizen claiming to be Hwang is using the same username, fueling misunderstanding for everyone.

Chrome Entertainment explained, "It is not an account we are currently using. The username has been withdrawn, and someone is using the same exact username to make it seem as if rep Hwang is saying these things. It's all a big misunderstanding." They also said, "There can be confusion in what the public accepts as truth, but don't get confused with this lie."

Chrome Entertainment has commissioned the Cyber Terror Response Center to open an investigation into the situation, to get to the bottom of this cyber terror.
