Fans of Lee Seung Gi won't have to wait long to see his face back in the variety show circuit.

Reps from his agency have announced the handsome singer-turned-television-personality will be making a triumphant variety show comeback with the upcoming Grandpas Over Flowers spin-off, Backpacking Project Part 2 [working title].

A statement from Lee Seung Gi's agency on September 3 read, "Lee Seung Gi will join PD Na Young Suk in his upcoming tvN variety show Backpacking Project Part 2. Lee Seung Gi originally planned to feature on PD Na Young Suk's previous variety show, but it didn't work out due to his schedule. However, he was able to feature for this new show."

The rep's statement continued, "Lee Seung Gi and PD Na Young Suk, along with writer Lee Woo Jung, have a long history together so their humor styles match and Lee Seung Gi trusts him. Lee Seung Gi always wanted to return to variety shows so this decision was made."

The two previously worked together for nearly five years while Lee Seung Gi was a cast member on One Night, Two Days.
