SUPERNOVA "2nd Stage has started"

On the 14th August, Korean dance vocal group SUPERNOVA held their "2013 CHOSHINSEI FAN MEETING "THANK YOU"" at Yokohama Arena. It was the first activity in Japan after YoonHak came back fm his military service.

SUPERNOVA leader YoonHak enlisted in the military service soon after their last Fan Meeting "CHOSHINSEI FAN MEETING 2011 "FOR YOU"" at Saitama Super Arena on 16th October 2011. There were 17,000 fans at that Fan Meeting who saw him off.

This past August, SUPERNOVA deepened the bond with 12,000 fans at Yokohama Arena and those at the live viewing in 47 cinemas throughout Japan. MILKY WAY (SUPERNOVA's fans) waited for YoonHak to come back for SUPERNOVA to start with 6 members again. MILKY WAY welcomed YoonHak's return to the group with loud cheers and applause.

There was a press conference before the Fan Meeting at the venue.

At the press conference, SUPERNOVA members looked so relaxed having YoonHak back and also looked very confident and reassuringly firm that they held down the absence with successful activities like their Korean comeback even without YoonHak for the last nearly two years.

Reporter:"Welcome back YoonHak ssi"

YoonHak:"I'm back." Answered with sweet smile.

Reporter: "How do you feel being in Japan after being away for about 2years?"

YoonHak:"Well, I feel I'm alive. I ate a lot of Japanese food, and I'm happy"

Reporter:"You'll see a lot of your fans today!"

YoonHak:"Yes. It's been a while since I last attended at Arena Fan Meeting. I'm so pleased to hold Fan Meeting with 6 of us together." answered with a big smile.

Reporter:"How do you (other members) feel having hyung (YoonHak) back? KwangSoo gun?"

KwangSoo:"Yes... I'm really delightful as we as SUPENOVA members had waited for YoonHak to come back as much as our fans. So I'd like to enjoy and pump up at today's Fan Meeting."

Reporter:"How about you, SungJe gun?"

SungJe:"I'm delighted, too. (I'm delighted) As much as MILKY WAY."

Reporter:"How about you, SungMo gun?"

SungMo:"MILKY WAY and we (SUPERNOVA members) had waited for about 2years, so I'm so happy and with our leader back now, we as SUPERNOVA will be more powerful than before and we would like everyone to keep their eyes on us."

Reporter:"How about you, JiHyuk gun?"

JiHyuk:"Yes! I'm so happy, too. I would like to thank our fans who gave us a lot of support and cheering."

Reporter:"GeoNil gun?"

GeoNil:"Like other members have just said, I'm pleased but (YoonHak gun) being late for work very often... "

Reporter:"Umm? You had chronic lateness before you went the enlistment?" (laugh)

JiHyuk:"It was really bad at that time." (laugh)

GoeNil:"There was 7 timed out of 10 then it's 5 times recently? It got better a bit now." (laugh)

YoonHak:"Everyone, 5 times now. 5 times!! I'm keeping to time."

Reporter:"He says proudly, but being late for work isn't good, is it?"

YoonHak:"No, no... I've just come back (from the military service), with this image... I'm keeping to time, doing well, Yes!"

Reporter:"Well, you have many upcoming activities in Japan, right?"

YoonHak:"Yes, we do. The Fan Meeting will start shortly, we have just released new single "WINNER" on the 07th Aug and we are promoting with it, our Autumn tour will start in September, and we have many schedules in October and November as well, so please look for them and keep supporting us."

Reporter:"By the way, you've been having a busy and hard time right after the discharge, starting SUPERNOVA activity."

YoonHak:"Well. Ah, if my agency told that to me direct (starting SUPERNOVA activity a few hours later of the discharge), I might have said "Would you please give me some holiday.", but I heard that from KwangSoo gun saying "You will start working today", when I first met the member in a car after the discharge. Then other 4 members said ""Hwaiting! Let's take a break around October.", so I'm weak with members... (So I said) Well, Let's do our best..."

Reporter:"(While YoonHak's away) a few singles were released, so you have to practice the dances and songs, the greeting pose had been changed... "

YoonHak:"Well, to be honest, in myself, very ...how can I say...Ah, the hope I had that "Don't release songs with dance tunes." But they released many songs with dance tunes, so I'm having a bit of hard time practicing the dance. "

Reporter:"So have you done a lot of practice, then?"

YoonHak:"I practice at a hotel while looking in the mirror, memorising the lyrics, also watching live videos of what the rest of the members performed while I was away."

Reporter:"Have you lost a bit since you discharged from the military service?"

YoonHak:"I'm having a hard time"

Reporter:"What do you think? (to other members) Does YoonHak ssi learn fast? Do you get to see his practice? "

KwangSoo:"I think the formation change is probably the hardest thing... He can learn the choreography easily. But changing the formation from 5 members' version to 6 members' version, so he makes a bit of mistakes, but he will show our fans perfectly, so we look forward to that as members."

Reporter:"You have a hard schedule for upcoming Autumn tour, right?"

YoonHak:"Yes, indeed. How many places this time..."

SungMo"11 places."

YoonHak:"Yes, we are visiting 11 places with our Autumn tour. It's been 2 years (with us 6 members) since the last tour, we wanted to tour around Japan (with us all), (like other members) I wanted to do so as well. We are going to see our fans around Japan. Please come and see us then."

Writer:"When you were discharged, there was over 2,000 fans, most came from Japan. Do you like Japan? "

YoonHak:"I spent the most important time, let's say my youth in Japan. I studied in Japan, so I have a lot of memories and I really love Japan."

Reporter:"So it's like you are back home?"

YoonHak: "Yes, indeed. I think Japan is my second home country. My family. "

Reporter:"I see. Well, it sounds very fun today!"

YoonHak:"Yes, we will do our best!"

YoonHak:"It will be the first time to perform our new single "WINNER", we would like to perform and sing full out. Please support "WINNER". We will do our best today! "

YoonHak:"Our fans, waiting for us SUPERNOVA! We are new SUPERNOVA since I'm back; please look forward SUPERNOVA's activities with full members. Also, please give lots of support to our new single "WINNER ". We as SUPERNOVA will do the most of our best. So please support us."

During the press conference, SUPERNOVA members introduced the adidas sport shoes that each member designed. 
SUPERNOVA is collaborating with adidas' for their custom shoes brand "miadidas'

KwangSoo:"We collaborated with adidas and our designed shoes will be on sale soon."

Each member designed their own shoes and showed us.

YoonHak:"Those shoes are the ones each member designed with our initials, colours we like, and so on. If we have girlfriends, we would like them to wear our shoes. So we choose colours to go with girls..."

Reporter:"So there are ladies shoes as well, right?"

GeoNil:"Yes. We chose designs and colours for ladies shoes. I was very pleased to do this. I would like to do modelling for adidas."

Reporter:"That's good idea!"

YonnHak:"Not only collaboration but also modelling!! Wearing our shoes and run."

Reporter:"So that means we can buy those shoes, right?"

YoonHak:"You can buy! Of course, you can!! You can buy our shoes from the adidas shops in Japan. Please go and get them. My shoes (I designed) are the prettiest, I think."

Reporter:"Whose shoes are the prettiest? Your own ones?"

All of the member:"Mine!!"

Since his discharge, SUPERNOVA leader YoonHak has been having hectic time with "LOTTE DFS SUPERNOVA Fan Meeting "The Return of Star Story"" in Korea, this recent Fan Meeting in Japan and preparing for the Autumn tour starting on 2nd September. SUPERNOVA released their new single "WINNER" ranked #2 on ORICON Daily Chart and #3 on ORICON Weekly Chart. 

The "2013 CHOSHINSEI FAN MEETING "THANK YOU"" lasted about 3 hours and successfully ended.

SUPERNOVA is a very popular Korean dance and vocal group in Japan. Even when YoonHak was away, the rest of the members didn't stop their activities both in Korea and Japan. They made their Korean comeback last summer with "Stupid Love" and "She's Gone" (those two songs were also released in Japan). It was almost 2 years since their last activities, but their comeback was successful. Each member had individual activities like acting, drama and musical both in Korea and Japan and built up their career. Also, each member studied Japanese hard and improved a lot more than before. At the press conference, YoonHak said each member would like to take part in Japanese dramas. So it may not be a long time before their dream comes true.  

We can look forward to a much more grown up SUPERNOVA.
