The Americans Season 2 Spoilers: Three New Series Regulars, Filming Begins In October, Keri Russell Talks Fake MarriageAnd Margo Martindale

"The Americans" season 2 is still not until 2014, but spoilers are already surfacing regarding the upcoming season, thanks to Keri Russell.

"We start shooting again in October, and I don't know what's gonna happen, but I'm excited," says Russell to Hit Fix.

Russell also commented on the always impressive Margo Martindale, who played Claudia in "The Americans" season 1. However, Martindale has since landed a lead role on the upcoming CBS sitcom "The Millers."

"She's on this other show now. I still feel like we could weave her in one or two episodes. She's too good to let go, but I don't know how the timing works with that."

In addition, spoilers confirm that "The Americans" season 2 has three new series regulars, all of whom were recurring characters in season 1. This includes Annet Mahendru (Nina), Susan Misner (Sandra Beeman, Stan's wife), and Alison Wright (Martha, Philip's informant).

With more characters coming to the forefront, no doubt "The Americans" season 2 will provide even more drama than before.

"I think a lot has changed for her in this year. That's whats so exciting about playing this character. For someone who sees things so black and white. This massive shift has taken place from the moment the husband says 'We should defect,'" says Russell. "Even though maybe she knew it was coming at some level it's a massive sea change and then the death of all these people in her life. All these massive supporters. I don't know what's going to happen."

"I really don't think she would ever turn, but I think she's sensing the reality a lot more. What are they gonna do? They have these kids who are becoming adults. I dunno, but yes, when the show started I think she says absolutely, 'We'll do our job here and then we'll take them back and raise them as we should.'"
