"American Horror Story: Coven" is just around the corner, and a new teaser seems to be hinting at a potentially undead storyline in season 3.

In the fifth teaser for "American Horror Story: Coven" entitled "Coffin," we see a woman buried inside a coffin, somewhat decomposed but still alive.

Will season 3 also tackle the undead for its plot? Fans are already theorizing!

"That's Kathy Bates - Madame LaLaurie. Ryan Murphy said that witches from coven (probably Taissa Farminga, Emma Roberts and Jessica Lange) will conjure her. She died 1842. and of course that they are bringing her back from dead," says YouTuber AckoLoves Riri regarding "American Horror Story: Coven."

As previously reported, the plot "American Horror Story: Coven" will center around witchcraft and witches, and it appears the Salem witches will face off against the voodoo priestesses.

But even better, an official plot synopsis has been released, giving us even more insight into the season.

"Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves."

"Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way."

In addition, newcomer Alexander Dreymon has been cast in a recurring role on "American Horror Story: Coven." For season 3, Dreymon will reportedly play the handsome young man who moves in next door to the Academy.
