Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date: Development Plans Cancelled? Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts 3 Titles Omitted From Square Enix Website

Square Enix listed several internally-developed video games in addition to some of the externally-developed software titles they will be publishing in Japan but "Final Fantasy XV" and "Kingdom Hearts 3" were omitted from the official website, Examiner.com reports.

Although "Final Fantasy XV" and "Kingdom Hearts 3" did not appear on the official website for Square Enix at Tokyo Game Show, the company did list both games on their official software lineup for the convention which is scheduled to begin on Sept. 19 and will run through Sept. 22, Examiner.com also reports.

But gamers around the world have been buzzing about a Kingdom Hearts 3 release date for the Xbox One, leaving many wondering if Microsoft and Square Enix will team up to develop a version for the next-generation console.

The game's developer is also working on exclusive content for several Playstation platforms.

The Osaka branch of Square Enix 1st Production Department is developing Kingdom Hearts 3 - the product will be published by Square Enix with Disney Interactive Studios handling the distribution duties, Examiner.com also reports.

However, there are many rumors in gaming forums speculating that Square Enix might cancel the development of Kingdom Hearts 3.

And Square Enix developer Tetsuya Nomura says the development of Kingdom Hearts 3 is "still being debated" and that he has "no idea what characters or worlds will be seen."

"Fan expectation for 'Kingdom Hearts 3′ is extremely high," Nomura said during an interview.

"To respond to those expectations, I have to provide something really good."
