Simpsons, Family Guy Crossover Special Episode [SPOILERS] Scheduled Fall 2014: Petition Filed To Stop ‘Television Injustice’

"The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" will have a special Crossover Episode that will be scheduled for airing sometime in the Fall of 2014. Some details about the plot synopsis were revealed by Fox. While most fans are excited, some devout followers of the two shows call it a "Television Injustice" and went as far as filing an online petition.

Next season, "The Simpsons" will be on their record-smashing 25th year and "The Family Guy" will be on their 11th season. These two long running animated series have often been compared to each other. They have numerous parallels and a crossover seemed inevitable.

The episode will be based in Springfield, where the Simpsons play host to the Griffins. The plot synopsis reveals that the Griffins will have a road trip and somehow drifts into Springfield.

Some visualized scenes would be Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin arguing about their beer brands and the matriarchs, Marge and Lois become BFFs. The kids will have a grand time as well.

Fox even released some comments in character. Peter Griffin says: "Fox hasn't spent this much money since they took Simon Cowell tight T-shirt shopping," while Homer's statement reads: "Finally I can get my hands on this guy!"

Meanwhile, a petition has been filed at ipetition.org. This petition accuses the creative teams of exploiting the two TV shows and labels it as a "Television Injustice." They accuse The Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane of riding on "The Simpsons" popularity with an unworthy rip-off of a show and the crossover gives him an approval to continue besmirching the franchise.
