iPhone 5S Release Date 2013: China Telecom 'Confirms' Offering For New iPhones, Starts Receiving Orders After Sept. 11 Launch

With just a few days before Apple unveils its two smartphones, it looks like it has successfully negotiated with China Telecom to offer the iPhone 5S and 5C.

In microblogging website Weibo, an official account by China Telecom posted an advertisement on Thursday (Wednesday EDT) showing the two iPhones.

However, a few minutes later and the ad was immediately put down. Good thing our friends at The Wall Street Journal was able to take a snapshot.

While it is still unclear whether the account posted the advertisement in error or deliberately did it to build hype, it confirms one thing - Apple has successfully penetrated the Chinese market. Now, the only thing that's left to see is whether the two iPhones will perform the way Apple planned it.

Meanwhile, there has also been news that the California-based company has already finished negotiations with China Mobile. As the most popular network carrier in China, this feat is a major achievement for Apple in getting its phones in the Chinese market.

Apple will announce its iPhone 5S and 5C on Sept. 10 in the United States, but a separate event is also set in China on the 11th.
