YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk ‘’WIN’ is 100% Real. No Manipulation. No planning.’

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk decided to choose a new male idol group through Mnet's survival program "Who Is Next: WIN." Regarding the show, he said, "It is 100% real. There is no manipulation or pre-planning involved."

On September 6, Yang Hyun Suk firmly stated in an interview, "Lately everyone around me has been asking me if 'WIN' is actually real and if we are really filming it as it is. Although some survival programs might be scripted, I can assure you that everything we film on 'WIN' is 100% real, and will continue to be real."

He continued, "'WIN' isn't one of those programs where we agree to do a certain thing before an episode and then begin filming. It is literally a reality program, in which there is no prior planning and no manipulations through extreme editing." So basically, unlike what many people think, there is no script for the show.

"WIN" is a 10 week show that will decide the next male idol group to debut from the major agency YG Entertainment, which will be called "WINNER." "WINNER" would be the first male idol group to debut in 7 years, following Big Bang. It aired its first episode on August 23, and is scheduled to release a new episode every Friday.

Team A has an average age of 20, and includes Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo, Lee Seung Hoon, Nam Tae Hyun, and Kang Seung Yoon. Team B has an average age of 17, and includes Kim Jin Hwang, Bobby, B.I, Song Yoon Hyung, Koo Joon Hwe, and Kim Dong Hyuk. The two different teams of aspiring male K-pop artists will battle to win votes from viewers, as they compete for the chance to become YG Entertainment's newest boy band.
