Teresa Scanlan, Patrick Henry College’s newest co-ed, is going to have buy some new clothes. Teresa Scanlan, who become the youngest woman to win the Miss America contest, is matriculating at an ultra-conservative Christian college where students have to dress modestly. As a student in the new school, Teresa Scanlan will have to ask parents' permission if she wants to date.

Teresa Scanlan was 17 when she won the Miss America crown in 2011, she was the youngest woman to win. Scanlon pulled the crown representing Nebraska. Teresa Scanlan will enter Patrick Henry
College in in Purcellville, Va., a suburb of Washington D.C., as a sophomore in late August. The ultra-conservative Patrick Henry College was founded in 2000 for a place for home-schooled Christians to study in the fields of government, journalism and law. The school started with 90 students and only offered government as a major - government. It now has 320 students and five majors, including journalism, literature and history. Patrick Henry School boast that the SAT scores of its students are comparable to top-tier state universities.

Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan is best known for filling in a bikini. Patrick Henry College requires students to dress modestly. The school also requires students to “seek parental counsel when pursuing a romantic relationship.”

Teresa Scanlan says she loves her classmates and the campus, but what she likes most about Patrick Henry College is that she can go about her studies in relative anonymity.

Teresa Scanlan says “I've never had to sign an autograph, and I've never had to take a picture. Here, I can be just another student.”

The youngest Miss America in more than 70 years hasn’t always blending in so easily. After Teresa Scanlan won the Miss America Contest she had to make appearances for Miss America. Teresa Scanlan enrolled at Patrick Henry in 2012. Teresa Scanlan says the school's workload is about as tough as her grueling Miss America schedule.
