Movies To Watch 2013: September Films You Must Not Miss – From Hugh Jackman in ‘Prisoners’ [Watch Trailer] To Chris Hemsworth In 'Rush'

There are plenty of movies to watch in 2013, but which ones to look out for this fall?  September alone has a lot to offer, and the following are just some of them.

Basing on the critic ratings in Rotten Tomatoes, the following are fresh picks, and movie-goers might want to consider these films, among many others, this month:

BLUE CAPRICE.  Showing on Sept. 13 in limited theatres, this psychological thriller is inspired by real-life events told in the point of view of two killers.  Justin Chang of Variety wrote, "Blue Caprice is a chillingly plausible and responsibly handled attempt to dramatize the disturbing bond between the two men behind the 2002 Beltway sniper attacks."

WADJDA.  This film about a Saudi Arabian woman, made by a Saudi Arabian female director, in a society where women have limited freedoms, encompasses so much more than the protagonist's desire to buy a bike.  To be shown in limited theatres on Sept. 13.

HARRY DEAN STANTON: PARTLY FICTION.  The film shows the life of the iconic actor, musician, and singer.  It hits theatres on Sept. 13.

INFORMANT.  The film's official website states, "'Informant' examines Brandon Darby, a radical activist turned FBI informant who has been both vilified and deified, but never entirely understood... As the only film with access to Darby since his public confession, 'Informant' meticulously constructs a portrait of his life - before and after the death threats - through interviews with Darby and tense reenactments starring the man himself."  The film has garnered a fair share of awards, and will be shown on Sept. 13.

PRISONERS.  Featuring Hugh Jackman as Keller Dover, the movie takes on the fear and panic of a father as his six-year old daughter and her friend goes missing.  Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Detective Loki.  The movie hits theatres on Sept. 20.

AFTER TILLER.  This documentary is about the lives of the only four doctors left in the US who performed late-term abortions (doctors LeRoy Carhart, Warren Hern, Shelley Sella, and Susan Robinson) after the 2009 assassination of Dr. George Tiller.  It will be shown on Sept. 20.

RUSH.  Directed by Ron Howard, this movie is a "spectacular big-screen re-creation of the merciless and legendary 1970s Formula 1 rivalry between gifted English playboy James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth of The Avengers, Thor) and his disciplined Austrian opponent, Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl of Inglourious Basterds, The Bourne Ultimatum)."   Showing in theatres on Sept. 27.

DON JON.  Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore and Tony Danza, this comedy puts together a playboy who likes porn and an old-fashioned girl who likes romantic Hollywood movies as they try to overcome their false fantasies.  Don Jon will be shown on Sept. 27.

Other movies to watch in 2013 September include (but is certainly not limited to): "The Family" with Robert de Niro, Michell Pfeiffer, and Tommy Lee Jones; "C.O.G."; "Thanks for Sharing" with Mark Ruffalo, Gwyneth Palthrow, and Tim Robbins; and "Haute Cuisine."
