Idol Special of ‘Running Man’ Caught Up to ‘Real Men’

"Running Man" is not far behind "Dad Where Are We Going."

According to Nielson Korean's viewer ratings, the September 8th SBS "Running Man" episode had a viewership of 13.6%, which is a 2.3% increase from the previous week's 11.3% viewership.

The latest "Running Man" episode's high viewership rating is largely in thanks to all the idol stars that appeared as guests on the show. The episode was a special titled "The Idol King," and starred 14 idol stars, who found synergy with the cast members of the show.

Not only did "Running Man" see a spike in viewership, so did "Barefoot Friends," and the overall viewership for "Good Sunday" jumped from 8.5% to 9.6%.

On the other hand, MBC's "Sunday Night," which is currently number 1 in terms of Sunday entertainment variety programs, has somewhat diminished a bit in popularity. Although "Dad Where Are We Going" still placed number 1 in Sunday entertainment with a viewership of 15.9%, it underwent a decrease from the previous week's record of 17.8%. "Real Men," which took the number 1 last week at 17.9%, also saw a decrease in viewership at 15.7% this week. "Happy Sunday - 1 Night 2 Days" recorded a viewership of 10.5%.
