Jennifer Love Hewitt’s fiancé Brian Hallisay is being charged with battery after he confronted an insistent paparazzi on Friday.

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s boyfriend, Brian Hallisay got into a scurfle with a photographer as the couple was leaving dinner in Brentwood. The photographer claims he was injured in the confrontation. Jennifer Love Hewitt's fiancé, Brian Hallisay, didn’t want his picture taken.

Brian Hallisay and Jennifer Love Hewitt met while working on "The Client List." Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay just finished eating dinner when a photographer began snapping pictures as they were leaving. Brian Hallisay asked the photography to stop, but he went on snapping. Hallisay allegedly got physical and the photographer he was injured near his eye when the camera hit his face during the confrontation. According to published reports, after the incident, Jennifer Love Hewitt felt bad and let the photographer take a few more pictures. But the cameraman went to the police station anyway alleging pregnant actress Jennifer Love Hewitt's fiance Brian Hallisay injured him.

Brian Hallisay was protecting his fiancé and "Client List" costar Jennifer Love Hewitt from a persistent photographer last Friday in Los Angeles. LAPD Media Relations confirmed to E! News that the photographer filed a battery report against Hallisay after the two got into an alleged confrontation on Friday, Sept. 6.

The photographer saw Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay as they were leaving the Toscana restaurant in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles on Friday. Brian Hallisay and Jennifer Hewitt asked the photographer to give them some space and Hallisay got in his face.

The police reports says that the photographer claims he was injured when his camera hit him in the face during the scuffle. Los Angeles Police Department’s media relations department confirmed the report.

According to published reports, Jennifer Love Hewitt, who is pregnant, let the photographer take a few more shots after the confrontation but the photographer filed a police report anyway.

According to sources, there were was no injuries visible when the photographer came into the police station. LAPD will investigate the battery allegations.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisa got engaged in May. The couple announced that Jennifer Love Hewitt was pregnant in June.
